FEATURED ADDON

xplane-d6

Turn the commands inside a running X-Plane 12 session into a finished FIFINE D6 control deck—without hand-writing requests, guessing command names, or building button art one tile at a time.

01 / THE WORKFLOW

From cockpit action to physical button.

xplane-d6 keeps discovery, testing, layout, artwork, and profile generation in one local workspace. Each step hands the result directly to the next.

01 · DISCOVER

Find the command that exists in your aircraft.

Instead of searching documentation or copying a path from a forum, browse the live command tree reported by X-Plane. Filter built-in, aircraft, and plugin namespaces; search by name or description; then add the right result.

  • Live command inventory from X-Plane 12
  • Searchable hierarchy with descriptions
  • Single or batch selection

02 · PROVE IT

Watch the cockpit respond before you bind anything.

A command can look right and still be wrong for a specific aircraft. Run it directly from the browser, confirm the expected control moves, and only then place it on the deck.

  • One-click command testing
  • Live cockpit-command capture
  • Less trial and error after export
03 · ARRANGE

Design the device you will actually touch.

Work in the same 5 × 3 geometry as the D6. Target an empty slot, drag populated controls to move or swap them, edit short labels, and combine two or more actions into a toggle.

  • Multiple purpose-built pages
  • Real on/off button artwork
  • Automatic row mapping for FIFINE

04 · GENERATE

Export the whole profile, not a pile of parts.

The browser creates every 144 × 144 button image and sends the finished layout to the local bridge. The bridge packages an installable .SDProfile in memory and returns one download.

  • Optional metadata import from an existing profile
  • Generated artwork and navigation controls
  • One ready-to-import profile archive
02 / WHY IT IS EASIER

Spend the setup time once. Use the controls every flight.

01

NO COMMAND GUESSWORK

Search the command list from the simulator that is actually running. Aircraft and plugin commands appear beside X-Plane’s built-in controls.

02

FEWER BROKEN BUTTONS

Run a command before assigning it. You know the cockpit responds before spending time arranging a page or exporting a profile.

03

THE DECK MATCHES THE DESIGN

Build against the physical five-column, three-row layout. Position conversion is handled automatically when the profile is generated.

04

REUSE THE HARDWARE DETAILS

Load an existing profile to carry over the device metadata instead of copying it by hand into every new setup.

03 / LOCAL BY DESIGN

A small bridge between the sim and the deck.

Run one Python file, open the builder, and keep the whole command workflow on the simulator machine. Generated buttons call the same local command bridge used for testing.

NETWORK GUIDANCE

Keep the bridge on a trusted LAN.

xplane-d6 connects to local simulator and device services. Do not expose the bridge port to the public internet; use it only on the simulator computer or a trusted home network.
